Why we have earthquakes?

Earthquakes happen when parts of the Earth's tough outer layer, called tectonic plates, suddenly slip past each other. This causes vibrations and shaking that we feel on the surface.

⭐ Bonus fact: Most earthquakes occur at the edges of these giant plates, where they meet and rub together.
