Why does some rock have crystals in them?

Crystals grow inside rocks when hot, liquid rock cools down very slowly. As the liquid cools, atoms join together in a super organized way, making cool, geometric shapes.

⭐ Bonus fact: The slower the liquid rock cools, the bigger the crystals can grow!
