Why we get hail?

Hail happens when raindrops in a thunderstorm freeze into ice balls. Strong winds in the storm push these ice balls up and down, making them grow bigger layer by layer before they fall to the ground.

⭐ Bonus fact: The largest hailstone ever found in the US was almost as big as a soccer ball and weighed over 1.9 pounds!
