Why it gets colder at night?

The Earth is always radiating the sun's heat back into space. During the day, the sun adds new heat to the Earth. At night, the sun isn't there to give new heat, so places cool down.

⭐ Bonus fact: Though it feels chilly, the Earth is always giving off some heat, even on the coldest nights.
