Why the ocean is salty?

Rain washes tiny bits of salt from rocks into rivers, and these rivers then carry the salt to the ocean. When ocean water evaporates into the air, the salt stays behind, making the ocean saltier over time.

⭐ Bonus fact: The Dead Sea is one of the saltiest places on Earth, so salty that people can easily float on its surface!
