Why we have leap years?

Every four years, we add an extra day to February to keep our calendars in sync with Earth's orbit around the Sun. It takes Earth a little more than 365 days to go around the Sun, so the extra day helps catch us up.

⭐ Bonus fact: Without leap years, our seasons would slowly get out of whack with the calendar!
