Why people started using money to buy things?

Long, long ago, people traded items directly, like exchanging a basket of fruit for a useful tool. But this was hard if someone didn't want what you had. So, people agreed to use special items like coins, or paper money, that everyone would accept as payment for anything.

⭐ Bonus fact: The first coins were made out of a mix of gold and silver in an ancient country called Lydia, around 2,700 years ago!
