Why does our skin get wrinkly in the water?
When you spend time in water, your blood vessels under your finger and toe pads get narrower. This makes the skin above them shrink and form wrinkles. Scientists think it helps us grip wet things better, like a car tire on a rainy road!
⭐ Bonus fact: This wrinkling is actually controlled by your nervous system, the same system that helps you think and feel.
