Why the ocean has tides?

The ocean's tides are mostly caused by the Moon's gravity pulling on Earth. This pull creates bulges of water on opposite sides of our planet, making the water level rise and fall.

⭐ Bonus fact: The Sun also plays a small part in creating tides, especially when it lines up with the Moon.
