Why does some fruit have seeds on the outside, like strawberries?

Strawberries are not true berries! The little 'seeds' you see are actually tiny fruits themselves, each holding a real seed inside. The red, juicy part we eat is the plant's way of attracting animals to spread those little fruits.

⭐ Bonus fact: Botanists call these tiny outer fruits 'achenes' and they are what makes a strawberry so unique!
